Installation
Preperation
1.       If replacing a natural grass lawn, use a turf cutter or flat spade to remove the existing grass. (see Pic. 1)
2.       Dig down to approximately 40mm below the desired surface level.
3.       Apply standard weed killer to the levelled surface (optional but recommended).
4.       Infill with sharp sand to the desired level, rake out then flatten with whacker plate or similar tool to ensure sand is compressed and level. (see Pic. 2)
5.       Cover the whole area with Geotex or similar membrane (optional but recommended).

Application
6.       Roll out VoltanGrass  to desired length and cut with Stanley knife, ensuring the joining strip is on the correct side (if width is greater than two metres). (see Pic. 3)
7.       Check entire length to ensure the grass is flat and there are no ripples on the surface.
8.       For widths greater than two metres roll out second strip to butt up firmly to the first roll. (Continue in same direction as previous roll)
9.       When laid, turn back the grass (approximately 20cm) along the entire length of both edges.
10.   Lay the joining tape between two rolls and apply Latex glue to the surface, then lay back the grass with the joining strip. (see Pic. 4)
11.   Apply additional glue to the joining strip then lay back the second grass strip ensuring the edges are firmly butted together.
12.   Continue until desired surface area is covered.

Finishing
13.   Complete the installation by nailing into the ground at regular intervals along the edges with 4” galvanized nails. (see Pic. 5 Finished Lawn)
14.   Apply Kiln dried silver sand over the entire surface and brush in using a stiff broom. (Note: Only apply the sand when the grass surface is dry.)
15.   Separate edging is recommended in areas where there is no natural border, e.g. flower beds, and is available in various styles from Garden Centres, B&Q etc.
